The Stock Market Game is a great learning tool! It fits well with the new Economics and Personal Finance class, and is available to try at no charge prior to the Spring competitions which begin February 4, 2013.
There will be two free windows of opportunities before the spring game starts:

To sign up for one of these, go to www.stockmarketgame.org and follow the prompts to register as a teacher with one team. It will ask for payment, which you can skip because there is no charge.

Why the Stock Market Game?
An independent analysis of the 12th grade NAEP economics test found that students who participated in the Stock Market Game outperformed those who did not participate, and the highest correlating factor for success among a dozen factors looked at was those who had participated in the game. Another independent study by Learning Point Associates showed high scores on financial literacy tests for students who participated in the Stock Market Game and benefits for their teachers as well.
